What's Worse- Captions For Posts, Or Subject Lines?

Hey everybody!!

This week was full of lots of exciting things.

I left the mtc on Monday which was so so sad. I love my district so much, and the mtc was so fun. So I was really sad to leave, especially because I had to go without Sister Barrus. She was having visa issues, so hopefully she is able to get that by the next transfer.

My travel group missed our bus when we were traveling, so somebody drove us all the way to the airport. That was really nice because I wasn't listening very well when they gave us directions. Oops. The flight was 9 hours, and it was really hard not watching any movies haha. A girl in front of me was watching Cruella, which I haven't seen, but it looks really good.

We had an 8 hr. layover in Amsterdam and I'm pretty sure I sprained my ankle here lol. I was pretty sleepy so I took a nap and somebody woke me up when we had to board the plane. But I was so tired so when I stood up I just rolled over and my ankle just went to the side. That was ouchies.

I got my trainer, Sister Anderson. She's never trained before, but I'm having a lot of fun with her. Also, I'm in the Harborne area which is just southwest of Birmingham. Last night during a zoom call we drew a Santa hat on our mission president, we're the worst.

But England is pretty cool! It gets dark around 4ish so that is most definitely an adjustment because it gets like pitch black but we have to stay busy. It's pretty cold, and my trainer has always had a car, so we don't really know how to get around on foot. That is quite a joy. The food here is not my favorite. I had fish and chips and I just couldn't do it. He put curry sauce on it, and I think that's what made me not like it. Anyways, I've had one really yummy meal that I liked. Last night we had a dinner appt. and she made us lasagna and it was so good. Also the chocolate here is super yummy. A member got us lots of chocolate so we should be set for a while.

The people here are a little hard to understand though. About half of it I can't understand. The accent is so cool, but they are super quiet and mumble too. Also, a lot of people in Birmingham are from the Middle East and from some African countries so they have a British accent and another accent. That is a lot of fun trying to hear what they say.

But so far it's gone well. I think it'll take a while to adjust and get used to all the new words, the food, talking, the weather and stuff.

Also they have all of their Christmas decorations up already and I'm kinda not having it. Christmas is supposed to happen after Thanksgiving, which I know they don't have here, but they should at least wait until December. It's really pretty though, but that can wait until December.

Love you all so so much and have a great Thanksgiving! Eat lots for me!
