Get Me Some Tacos

Image
Hi everybody!! I hope that you have all had the greatest week ever, and hopefully enjoying the sunshine!! The sun has been shining here in Bournemouth, and I couldn't be happier (only if I could get some dang Mexican food)! We had a really good week, and were able to meet with a few friends! Crazy story for the week- We had one lady sitting around in our areabook that we have tried to set up lessons with, but haven't been able to.  So we called on Tuesday and she said that we could come by on Thursday. So Thursday rolled around and we went over. We got talking to find out a little bit about her, and she used to live in Sierra Leone,  which I thought was cool, because 1. My cousin served there and 2. I haven't met anyone from there. But she said that she had this bible that she tried to read from, but can't understand because the characters are   different. We were all a bit confused, so we asked her about the bible and what her favorite verse was. She couldn't remem...

Updates From Bournemouth

Hey everybody!!  I hope that you are all doing well! We had a pretty solid week! Last week on pday I got to go to a castle which was literally insane! It's called Corfe Castle and it is so fascinating realizing how old it is. Get this. It started to be built before America was even a thought. Before Columbus sailed the ocean! So that blew my mind.  Then every Thursday we have a ward social that we can invite our friends to and Thursday we had such a good turn out! We had quite a few of our friends come, and sister parry, Davison and I ended up having to sit at all different tables so we could talk with our friends. Good news is that only one of them is a basher. Sister Parrys person was bashing really hard, and was not giving up, so after my person left I went to talk with them and try to get him to stop. So we finally ended up stopping him, and we came home to a nice text from him.   One of my favorite ward members passed away this week which was really sad. She was...

The Man Of My Dreams

Image
Hi everybody!!  This week was literally insane!! We saw so many miracles, which has really been evident to me that God is so aware of us! So first off, about a week ago I had this dream about a man I had never met, who was told by God that he needed to listen to whatever the missionaries told him to do. So he listened to the voice and ended up being baptized! I woke up and was like dang that was an awesome dream! Fast forward to Tuesday and we got a referral for somebody who wants to do bible studies. We met him on Thursday and it's the man from my dreams!!! I was in literal shock for like 20 minutes! But my little baby Sister Davison taught him the restoration and he LOVED it! He took a Book of Mormon and said, "this is the good news" so that was the most insane miracle!  Let's see this week we have had so many referrals as well! My last transfer here I had one. This week we have had 4. So God is so good! Another crazy miracle- we messaged this one guy who wanted a b...

Three Little Birds Sat In A Window

Hey everybody!! This week was insane (in a good way) so many things happened, but it was so much fun! So last pday we were walking around town centre with the other sisters in our district and Sister Carroll and that was so funny. Sister Carroll kept walking really far in front of us and wouldn't wait for us, so we all just stopped walking to see if she would stop and it usually took her a while to notice that we weren't with her. Then we went back to her flat and took some pregnancy pictures for Sister Parry because she hit her 9 months.  On Tuesday we were out walking to one of our friends' homes, and we got a call from our mission president which I didn't even realize was him. We answered the phone and found out that I would be training a reassigned missionary. So later that day Sister Davison joined the party. She's from Leeds and was originally assigned to France Lyon, so Sister Parry and I have been picking up some French which I think is pretty bomb!  Okay he...

A Lemon In An Orange Tree

Hey everybody!! This week was a pretty good one!! Webhad transfers and I am with a new companion named Sister Parry, and I love her so much. The other night we were singing Disney songs while we made dinner, and I can tell you on a scale of 1-10 that our neighbors love us at about 15. Just kidding, I'm sure they hate us. Because we'll spontaneously scream at the smallest thing. But this week Sister Routt and I went to Bristol for transfers, and it was so sad saying goodbye. I'll miss her so much, but she will be in the good hands of Sister Cloward who I love so much. That morning I woke up at 3 and couldn't go back to bed, so I slept 4 hours that night and had to catch the train at 5:50. That was a long day of travel. But it was so good to see so many friends. So there is a member here that hates me. You could ask anybody. She hates me. Whenever I go to her house she always gets mad at me because I will have my toes curled under. Or for cracking my knuckles. Or for anyt...
