Happy New Years!

Hey everybody!!

This week was pretty good! Kind of a slower week, but that happens.

We are moving flats today, so that is super super exciting! In our ward there are 8 missionaries!! A senior couple, us sisters, 2 mandarin elders, and 2 more English speaking elders. So there are tons of missionaries. But the 4 elders are living together and they are moving into our flat because it's bigger, and their old flat has a moldy room that was pretty bad. So we are moving into a nice new flat and I'm really looking forward to that!

We met with Ricardo this week and we invited the senior couple to come with us because we couldn't meet with him alone and he had some pretty specific questions. So we brought the senior couple and they definitely took over lol. He would ask a pretty simple question, and they would take like 30 minutes to answer it and they would share things that didn't even go along with the question they asked. So that was really interesting. I'm glad that we were able to meet with him again though. I think he's actually interested in learning more, so yeah I'm excited about that!

We also have another friend that was referred to us by other missionaries. Her name is Sarah. She is such a sweet lady, who just wants some more peace in her life and she is so interested in the Book of Mormon and is really intrigued about it.

Oof, here was a good time this week. We went to give Sarah a book of mormon, and we were leaving our flat and I had to go to the bathroom but we would've missed the bus. So we left and it was about 2 hours before we got to her house. I was actually about to pee my pants. So I went to the side of the road but figured maybe I shouldn't do that and it was really muddy and I would've gotten mud all over my dress. So I walked a little up the road into a petro station, and get this. NO BATHROOMS. So I went behind a building and popped a squat. It was very relieving. But yeah that may be oversharing, but hahaha it was funny at the moment.

I got kebaptized this week as well! In the English missions the missionaries get kebaptized (kebab), cod-firmed (fish and chips), and nandowed (a restaurant called nandos i think it's Portuguese?) . I've been nandowed and cod-firmed, but holy cow my kebaptism was awesome!! They put chicken on chips (fries) and it is so yummy. I'll put a Pic below. But yeah that's I think the highlights of this week!

I hope you all have a great week and a great new year!

1. My kebab

2. The bishop was talking about elder stoddart and how he was gonna speak but kept calling him elder walker. So we drew that and I drew a shark that the elders turned into a goldfish

3. A cool tower. I think it's the second tallest one in the uk I think. Pretty please don't quote me on that

4. A pretty sunset
