Covid In The Zone
Hey everybody!!
This week was kind of a rollercoaster haha. There were definitely some really cool things that happened though!!
We went on exchanges this week, but this time I stayed in Harborne and got to lead out the area... spooky. Luckily, Sister Neibaur served in this area before she was an STL so she was wanting to meet with someone I'd never met before, which was awesome! His name is Syed, and he might be the smartest person I have ever met. He basically scientifically proved to me that God is real using some physics thing. I'll tell you though, I've been out of school for too long and my head basically exploded. But Syed is a homie and I hope that I will get to talk with him more! He took us to a huge clock tower (the one I sent a picture of a few weeks ago) and he said it is actually the tallest one in Europe. So I'll have to look into that one hahaha.I Exchanges were amazing though, and I always learn so much from them.
We went to visit a family in the ward and they have the coolest snail! Its name is Zion, and I'm not even joking, it's about the size of my hand. It's gigantic.
We've been trying to get to know the ward so we can find fellowships for our friends, so that is what a lot of the week ahead looks like. Also transfers are this week so we're pretty nervous about that...
We had quite the experience yesterday night though. We got a media referral saying this girl wanted to do Bible studies, and while we were calling she said- "I don't mean to be rude, but are you guys part of the Mormon church?" And we told her yeah and she said "oh. Well I'm not interested anymore." And hung up. Hahahaha people are definitely interesting, but I love them so much. The people here are just different, but they're hilarious.
We had a lesson with Sarah, and it went really well! We got her on the gospel library app, and she's loved everything that we have shared with her. We're still just struggling to get her to come to church. Maybe a little further down the line when she knows a little bit more about everything. But if you would include her in your prayers that would be amazing.
Crazy story for y'all-
Last Wednesday we had some sisters sleepover because they were in harborne for institute and then they had district council the next day, but one of the sisters we came to find out the next day wasn't feeling good. So we found out on Friday that she had covid, then on Sunday an elder from her district tested positive, and then today my companion tested positive. So the Birmingham zone has lots of covid haha. I'm still testing negative, but I have to stay in quarantine. Not sure how this is all going to work out with transfers hahaha. Maybe we will both have to stay. So we will have lots of calls this week!!
I love you all so so so much and I hope you have an amazing week
