No More Missing Fingers Please

Hiya everyone!

I'm just going to be completely honest here. This week was a doozy (hopefully that's how it's spelled).

There were quite a few good things that happened, but this week felt pretty long and was difficult.

We were able to go and deliver a Book of Mormon to one of our Bible Studies, and she loved it!! She was so excited to get the Book of Mormon!! But I came back to the flat and the responsibilities I have as a missionary and the pressure I was putting on myself hit me. So that was kinda a hard night.

But then Wednesday is where it got really tough. All of Wednesday was okay, but I was still struggling with the feelings I had from the day before. We went to institute to get to know the young adults a bit better, and there was a person there who we are NOT supposed to talk to. But she texted me a few days ago asking to do Bible studies, and so I told her that we were very busy, and that members of the ward want to know her better, so she could do Bible studies with them. She did not like that though and sent a lengthy text about our purpose as a missionary. Then at institute she yelled at us and got really mad at us. So I kinda just hit a breaking point, so we went home and had some dinner then went to bed.

Thursday we were able to do some service for a member, and we went and got lunch as a district afterwards which was really yummy.

On Saturday we also got to go to another amazing service opportunity! We left the area to go to Redditch, and helped out for a few hours. I got to know some members from the stake which was really nice!

At church yesterday we had a couple of friends come!! One person we met at the bus stop came, but he got lost on the busses and was only able to come for the second meeting hahaha. At least he still came. Then a random family that none of the members/missionaries knew came. So we got talking with them and they are the sweetest family!! They told us they want us to come over, and that they would make us kebabs.

We also made a new friend this week, and she is amazing! Her name is Laura, and she has a bit of a hard past, but really wants to put it behind her and start over, and feel like she belongs somewhere. So we are meeting with her again this week, and I'm excited for her again!

Also funny story- yesterday we went to a member's house for lunch who is Filipino, and on the way there there's a street named California, and a cell tower that looked like the Eiffel tower. So we got to go to the Philippines, the states, England, and France. What a fun time.

Overall this week had quite a few amazing things happen. So I guess writing this out I've realized that there were a lot more good things than bad. But I really hope that you all have a great week!!
