Beans Beans The Magical Fruit

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had the most amazing week yet! 

This week we had a pretty good week! Nothing too crazy happened which is good. 

One of the highlights from this week was that we got to go clean one of our members' houses. Holy Cow. Talk about clutter. This house was on the same level as the ones you see on Hoarders. We were there for a few hours and only managed to clean one desk. It was really satisfying getting to just throw things away. The mom really likes to keep things, and I would ask her if I could throw something away and she always had a reason to keep it. So as soon as she left the room Sister Davison and I just started throwing things away. We went back later in the week to share a spiritual thought and the desk was already cluttered again ;( she did ask us to come back to help us clean so it looks like I will do the desk again.

I also got to help teach English which was amazing!! There is a group of refugees from Africa who barely know any English, so we got to help them learn months and numbers. It just made my heart so full. Knowing that we were doing a good thing, and creating good relationships. 

After the English class we had institute and I got to eat some yummy beans!! We had a meeting in the middle of institute so when we came back I took a cup of beans in and then another cup of beans after it was over. And then the best thing ever happened! I was opening a closet for a member and I found 2 nerf guns! So me and Sister Senlle had a duel! That was a lot of fun.

On Thursday and Friday we had a heat wave which was supperrr hot. And those days we had a ton of time either walking around or sitting in a hot musty bus that was crammed way too tight. Yay.

On Saturday we had a stake fun day! So we went to a park and played some games! One of our friends that we hadn't met yet  came to it. She was curious about what we do as missionaries, but I ended up giving her a book of Mormon and teaching the Restoration. She was happy to have it which made me excited!
