Daisy Is A Sussy Baka
Hi everybody! I hope that you have all had such an amazing week! This week was definitely a wild one!
On Tuesday we went to teach English again, and then yesterday we got to play board games with the refugees from Sudan. They are truly amazing, the food that they eat though... questionable. They gave us lunch and I was having a rough time with it (along with every other non-Sudan). I was literally gagging at one point. And so I decided I would have good manners and that I would play with my food instead. I basically just stirred- the part that I didn't like and it looked like throw up. Gross. Also I'm pretty sure that one of the sisters got a tongue. *pictures below
I got to go to Zone Conference which was sooo amazing! We went to Gloucester, with quite a few zones and got to see a really amazing church history site! I went to Gadfield Elm Chapel which was the first EVER chapel from our church in the whole world. So that was pretty cool!! Then we went to Benbow pond where Wilford Woodruff (a missionary) baptized a whole lot of people. He baptized 85 people in a month at this pond!
We had two funerals this week in our ward, so we helped at one and went to the other one. The service was soo amazing, and I'm so grateful I was able to go!
We had a really cool miracle this week- so we have a friend that I have met once since I've been here. And he came to one of the funerals! So he texted us afterwards and we invited him to our scripture study on Saturday! And none of our other friends to scripture study:( so talk about divine intervention that we were able to have that 1 on 1 with him! We got to talk about his concerns for baptism, and where he is at. so that was way cool and I'm glad that nobody else showed up!
About the subject line- a young boy we are teaching kept saying that during the lesson. Any time we asked him something that was his response
I hope that you all have a great week! I love you all so much!
