No More Freaking Fingers.
Ahhhh what a week. This week was pretty good!! There were some pretty crazy things!
As you can tell by my subject line we had ANOTHER freaking finger incident. Literally I've learned my lesson and I won't complain about fingers ever again. So what happened was we woke up Wednesday morning to go do service at some place called Hope for food. And this lady told us to go "fiddle" with the front desk and make it look nice. So Sister Routt was holding this wine glass, and there was a metal thing on the top shelf that kept falling down. Yall probably know what happens. Yep it fell down onto the glass and a pretty big piece went into Sister Routt finger. Ouch. So she pulled the chunk of glass out and I got to be Dr. Walker. I think the best part was that I didn't pass out. We were on the phone with our mission nurse (Sister Sawyer who I love so dearly and was in the same area as me so she knows me pretty well) and she was so happy when she heard that I didn't pass out. She says, "oh no is Sister Walker by you? Well don't let her see she's a fainter" but I already saw her finger and didn't pass out so woo hoo!
Anyways that's the finger incident. Sister Routt is doing much better now, and did not need any stitches.
We got to go to Salisbury this week for a music concert thingy and it was AMAZING. There are literally so many talented people and the missionaries here are incredible. On our way there, we got to stop at the Salisbury Cathedral and it was so pretty! Also it's huge.
We also stopped at this candy store where they sell American candy and the funniest thing happened. So we were looking at different types of chocolate and this little English girl walks up to the American candy screams and says "oh my gosh! There's icebreakers!" Never thought that those would be so exciting.
We met a new friend this week named Dustin. He's cool and he came to church and when the bishop asked if he was a member he said "not yet", but he's giving us flirty vibes, so I'll keep you updated on that one.
I can't really think of anything else like usual. I hope you have a great week and I love you all so much.
