Weshhh Cool Miracles
Helloooo everyone!!
This week went by so fast and so many great things happened!!
So we got to go on exchanges with the sisters in the Forest of Dean. And their area is sooooo pretty! There's so many trees and everything was just gorgeous. I got to go with Sister Aluesi who is from tonga!! She made me some REALLY yummy rice and taught me how to introduce myself in Tongan and how to do a Tongan dance. I'm basically Tongan. Jk but it was such a fun day, and she's such a spiritual giant. Also, while we were tracting this lady asked where we came from. So not even thinking I told her I was from the states. And she said " no no no. Like what organization are you a part of." That was really awkward and Sister Aluesi made fun of me. But I don't really know how she expected me to answer any differently. Oh well.
But then later that day when I was back in Bath We went tracting again and got rejected so hard. It was probably the worst rejection I've gotten. But oh well. Here's how the convo went:
"Hi, we are missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day saints..."
"Yep I can see that on your badge"
"Oh awesome! Have you ever run into missionaries?"
"No. But I'm already Christian, so I'm okay"
"Very cool! Which church do you go to?"
"Some local church. But really we probably won't agree on a lot of things. For instance I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
"Wow! We actually believe that too! I bet we have more in common than we think!"
"No. We don't." *proceeds to tell us a few differences... "so really I'm okay"
"Oh okay. Well would you by chance know of anyone who may benefit from hearing about Christ?"
"Honestly a lot of people. But nobody would benefit from hearing from you."
"Okay. Have a good day!"
Luckily that was the first door so it could only get better hahahaha
We had zone conference, and it was SO good!! We learned a lot about the importance of the Restoration and how we need to apply that into the work. And I got to see lots of old buddies. So that was super nice!! We told the sisters in Weston-Super-Mare to get lidl socks for a zone picture, and everybody else forgot them. So we got a lidl sock picture!
Now for some cool miracles!!
- we got the coolest referral from the office missionaries! She used to be taught and come to church but she moved up north and lost contact. She's back now, and asked for a book of Mormon and Bible because she gave them away!
- 15 minutes before church started we got a call from some random person asking if she could get a book of mormon! We left a card in her door the night before, and so she called us!
Soo this week was really awesome, and I'm super excited for the week we have ahead!!
