Weshhhhh

Oh my goodness, this week was just too good. So many crazy things happened, so get ready, hahaha! Also, you'll get an email on Saturday because of the King's coronation.

Okay, so on Tuesday, we got to go on exchanges with the sisters in Yate! I got to stay in Bath, and Sister Parkinson came with me! It's always so fun to bring sisters to Bath because they remind me how beautiful the area is when they take a ton of pictures. But the craziest thing happened! So the week before, we were tracting and met this guy named Julian who let us share a message at his door, and then we left him with a Book of Mormon and a pamphlet. He wouldn't give us his number, so we told him that if he wanted to talk, then to give us a call. And he actually gave us a call! So we set up a time to meet... I'll get to the details of the meeting later.

Then we went for dinner at a place I've never been, but it was Thai. I told Sister Parkinson I've never had pad Thai, and I'd try it. We think they poured a whole bottle of salt into my dish. The worst part is that's just what I thought pad Thai was, so I kept eating it.

Then on Wednesday, after exchanges, we had district council! Turns out we had some workers working on the chapel, so we couldn't be in there. We got to do district council outside, and it was so fun! Then we did a finding activity, which was also so fun! Then we went and heart-attacked a member's door with some young adults who are coming back from the States after having a brain aneurysm.

Another day this week, we were tracting, and I tripped on a step, fell into a bush, and ripped my trousers... luckily only Sister Hamilton saw, but it was really entertaining.

Okay, now for the best part of the week... So we met with Shannon, and she wants to be baptized!! She's talking to her husband about when she wants to get married, but we are planning on June 24!

Then we had our lesson with Julian. Turns out he's a scientist who wanted to bash with us. Luckily, the member we brought was also a scientist, and they had a pretty good convo for an hour and a half. Sister Hamilton and I said four things. Two of them were prayers.

Afterwards, we were driving to a dinner appointment and saw a rapeseed field, and we really wanted to go see it. In order to get to it, you have to climb through a hedge and clear a patch of stinging nettle. So, getting out, we were able to jump over it. But on the way back, I went first and placed a rock to smash some of it and have a stepping spot. So I was able to clear the stinging nettle without getting stung. Sister Hamilton, on the other hand, heard a motorcycle which she thought was a four-wheeler coming to yell at us for being on their field. So she panicked and started to go faster and fell into the stinging nettle. She got stung pretty good.

But this week was super good, and we saw a lot of miracles! One of our favorites was when we were tracting and we "accidentally" went down the wrong road. We talked with one guy named Alan who at first was really standoffish, but we felt a big impression to keep working on him and asking him questions. So he finally opened up and expressed interest in coming to church!

I love you all so, so much, and I hope you have a great week!
